Norwep member employment. The y-axis is narrowed to highlight month-to-month changes.
Norwep companies are holding up better.
Over the past six months, employment among Norwep members has remained almost stable, falling by 114 employees, or -0.16%. Among the non-Norwep part of the supplier population, the decline is far larger: 1,411 fewer employees, equivalent to -1.76%.
In other words, more than twelve times as many jobs have been lost among the non-Norwep suppliers. The data suggests that internationalisation is not only about growth opportunities, but also about resilience.
